A link to another Markdown file in the same place now opens as the document tab immediately right of the one you are in, so the file you came from is a click away rather than gone. With Document tabs set to Single file it opens in a browser tab instead — one file per window is what that setting says.

Everything else — a PDF, an image, a folder, a page on the web — opens in a browser tab next to this one. The document you are reading, the panels around it and your place in the page all stay where they are.

Come back to a document and you land where you stopped reading, whether you came back with Back, Forward, or its tab. A file opened fresh still starts at the top, and a link pointing at a heading still goes to the heading.

A press on a picture that slides a little no longer counts as a click on the picture's link, so it can no longer take the page out from under you.

Markdown Browser Tools 1.0 is on the Chrome Web Store. Everything the preview builds carried ships with it: folders, outline, search, recent files, the tools on every block, diagrams, math, and ten interface languages.

Edge Add-ons carries it too, under a listing of its own. In Edge you install from Microsoft's store; in any other Chromium browser, from the Chrome Web Store.

A toolbar on every block: copy code or a table as Markdown, save a diagram as SVG or PNG, and open any picture or drawing in a full-window view with zoom and a gallery of the page's images.

Zoom steps through round numbers — 50, 67, 100, 150, 200 % — with a fit-to-width button one press away, in place and in the large view.

A picture that links somewhere opens the link in a new tab beside your reading, so the document you were in stays where it was.

KaTeX math, including single-dollar formulas like $x^2$, drawn offline and copyable as TeX. A formula in a heading stays in the outline.

A narrow table keeps its header in view as you scroll; a wide one scrolls inside its own block. Both print whole and copy as Markdown or tab-separated text.

Arabic and Hebrew paragraphs read right-to-left, with code and formulas kept left-to-right inside them.

Diagrams are drawn in your palette, light or dark, and redrawn when you switch.

A diagram in a file an agent is still writing keeps its last drawing until the file holds still, instead of flickering with every save.

A wide diagram scrolls in place, with zoom buttons, arrow keys, and drag to pan.

Pinning and browsing are separate now: walk up a level while pinned and the pin stays where you put it. Every folder you have pinned is a list, on the folder page too.

The interface in ten languages — English, 简体中文, 繁體中文, 日本語, Deutsch, Español, Français, 한국어, Português, Русский — each loaded only when you choose it, so no page pays for the other nine.

Browser translators leave file and folder names alone, and Immersive Translate works on the rendered page.

Send feedback from the settings page, with your browser and version filled in, and a support page for the common fixes.

Markdown on allowed websites renders in place — checked by content type, so regular pages are never touched.

The folder page now works as a folder picker: breadcrumbs, working back/forward, and a "Use this folder" button.

Search steps through its matches like a find bar, and deep folder scans now always finish.

Six color themes, each complete in light and dark, independent of the light/dark switch.

Adjustable text size, line spacing, and page width — plus four colors (background, text, accent, links) you can set yourself.

The side panels get their own size and spacing controls, separate from the document.

Folder, outline, recent, and search panels: drag them between sides, stack them, or turn them off. Layouts save as presets.

Document tabs, pinned recent files, and folder-wide search whose results stick around while you navigate.

Opening a file now paints instantly with your theme and layout in place — no flash in between.
