These terms cover the Markdown Browser Tools browser extension and this website. They are short because the product is simple: software that runs on your machine, reading files you choose to open.

The software

The extension is provided free of charge, "as is", without warranty of any kind. You may use it for any lawful purpose. We work to keep it correct and safe, but we cannot accept liability for loss arising from its use — it is a reader; it does not modify your files.

Your content

Your documents are yours. The extension does not transmit, store remotely, or claim any rights over anything you open with it.

Third-party services

The extension depends on no third-party service. This website links to browser stores and to external sites, whose own terms apply there.

Paid features

There are none today. If paid features ship in the future, they will have their own purchase terms, presented at the point of purchase, including the seller's legal identity and refund policy — these terms will be updated at the same time.

Changes

We may revise these terms; the effective date above always reflects the current version. Material changes will be noted on this site.
